This is a undated police luger, I can't tell the suffix, or could approximately date it.

It has a sear and a magazine safety (the mag safety would be inoperative), these were not on army guns but police.

If all matching, I would say it is worth around $1200 in this condition, a bit more if it has a unit marking.

It has a army armoriers replacement magazine with it, a police would have a #1 or #2.

I noticed that the frame is a different number than the rest of pistol, so value about half of the above matching value. TH

Tom,

Are you seeing something different than I see? The frame serial number is 9493d as is the barrel and receiver and small parts. It appears to be all matching except the mag. What is puzzling to me is that it seems to be an Alphabet DWM but the "d" suffix is not appropriate.

mbizy,

Does it have a marking on the front grip strap?

Did I miss something?
My photos show an all matching pistol with the frame the same 9493 serial as the rest of the gun?

The frame stamp loooks a bit different, but period? And the barrel is definately stamped correctly.

I couldn't make out the frame suffix, I see it was obvious on the barrel.

"d"; this is one of those annomolly's that folks used to say it was a WW1 rebuild. Might be?

NOTE: I see NO proofs on right or left....
