I have a 1918 Erfurt all matching Luger. Serial Number (SN) is 510X, (X is actually a number) small "k", or "o" or "v." Using the Fraktur chart far right column under written, it looks close to a k, or o. Using another chart it looks like a "v." I am still working on the letter code.
However, my question is strawing. The parts usually strawed, on my pistol, are blued. Where there any Erfurts which were all blued or has mine been re-blued. If reblued, it was a very good job. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Definitely Re-Blued... no Lugers came from the government arsenal at Erfurt all blued... the "usual" parts should be strawed...
Post a photo of the front of the frame above the trigger guard and we can tell you what the suffix letter is...

Thank you for the fast reply. As I cleaned and checked it over the thought that it was a reblue kept at me. Thanks for the info.
However, I must admit it looks more like a refab then a quick blue job. Never the less, this old warrior has found a home as I am keeping it forever. Since it is mostly a shooter I probably will shoot it with improved weather.

The Winchester Bulk box of 100, 115 gr. 9mm sold at Walmart should function well in your Erfurt. I think you should be able to find a Walmart in Arkansas, eh?

Have a Walmart in Arkansas and I already have the Winchester 115 ammo.
Ready to go to the firing range as soon as the weather gets better. Thanks for your help.
