Default My hometown

This is probably not the place for this since it doesn't involve lugers or holsters or guns of any kind. Instead it is about the people in my small Montana hometown. My wife has been in kidney failure for several years and has been on the National kidney list for two years. In May she went on dialysis. The local paper did an article about her. From this a local total stranger volunteered a kidney. The operation is Nov.27 in Seattle. The town (1200 people) has totally overwhelmed us with support. There is a "bandana bonanza," ,selling purple bandanas for Mary. Everywhere I go people are wearing them. Tonight our local live theater put on a benefit play. Our church has been highly involved. On Nov 18 there will be a town blessing for Mary. It is not the monetary portion that's important it's the love and caring we are the recepients of. It seems that the news these days is filled with bad things. They need to print more of the good things like my wife and I are experiencing. Believe me it is eye opening and very humbling. It makes an old cynical man like me think and even shed a tear or two. There is still a lot of good in this old country. Bill

Glad to hear that someone stood up and gave something of grater value than any material goods.
News will always reflect the bad things more than the positive..
All the best wishes for the upcoming operation!

Hi Bill,

Sounds like a great community. People seem to come together when crisis arises. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife.

Best of luck...

Ron

Bill & Mary..What you say is true. There is much good in the World regardless of what is in the newspapers. The goodness of strangers and people in your hometown, people that care even if they don't know you.

Ellie and I will be praying for Mary's complete recovery and a new life.

I have known Bill for years and actually met Bill and Mary when I went to Bill Munis's funeral 1.5 years ago. They are just nice folks, the type I like to hang out with ! Bill has always stepped up to the plate whenever others need help; Bill if y'all need anything?? Can we send Cards, etc for Mary?

I will check around here for some purple banadana's, and since I know that Mary is a dog lover, then it should be okay if Terry says each of the dogs should have a purple bandana and we'll post a picture

Your friend,
Ed

Bill,

Reassure Mary that both she and you will be in my prayers daily for success of her surgery, and a complete recovery. I will also keep the anonymous donor in my prayers for their unbelieveable generosity... May God bless you all.

Bill,

Your's and Mary's story, and with what the community is doing - and that donor - is absolutely inspiring... I don't know who Jenn & I should pray for and send our thankful prayers to - simply all involved...

Some folks believe all that happens around us is "coincidence". That's OK for them. Your story is a miracle - and that's my belief.

All of you are in Jen's and my thoughts and prayers....
