Is this one correct with its dicing lines on the lid only cut in one direction ? versus a true checkering pattern with dicing lines in two directions ?

Pete,
I think the one directional knurling is correct for a GNR rod. The one's that I've seen were all this way. The earlier comm. rods had the cross hatched knurling.

Thanks, Guys...

My repro has its 1-directional grooves placed in a 90 degree orientation. This one on eBay does have its 1-directional grooves placed at an angle.
