I have two magazines I need to identify so I may sell them.
1. Aluminum base, single pin, no WaA or marks of any kind. Phosphate ? follower, follower knob has square checkering, no recess for a loading tool. Blued sheetmetal body. 2. Black plastic base with three concentric rings, two retaining pin (Navy?) blued sheetmetal body with a bright follower. Follower handle has edge recess for loading tool. No marks of any type such as WaA's, etc Any help is appreciated !! Roger |

Hi Roger! I don't know about the first mag you described, but the second mag sounds like a current or recent production by MEC-GAR mag's....although they are not collectable, they are excellent for shooting and function! It would seem that their older production has a matte blue finish, and the new ones are shiny gloss blue with MEC-GAR stamped on the tube! till...later...G.T.

I concur with G.T. regarding mag #2. Mag #1 is a mystery. Phosphate follower? Hmmmmmm. Doesn't remind me of a specific type I have seen.

Sounds as though your first one with the phosphate tube, unmarked alum bottom and fully checkered follower button, could be post WW2 Danish. I agree with the others that the latter, is definately Mec-Gar. Total retail value new about $60.
