Default GunsAmerica

I have a number of sites that I visit daily such as GunBroker, AuctionArms, Collectorsfireams and GunsAmerica. I've noticed that GunsAmerica has recently changed their layout and it seems a little harder to navigate, the print seems smaller, the photos are smaller and I really miss the bold "NEW THIS WEEK".

What are your thoughts on the recent changes.

Brent,

The "new' speed is just horrendous.

Too bad about the small photo jepg sizing, now. The old photos were good "studies" for postings here on the LF so folks could evaluate the lugers...

it was an OLD, old standard of webpages.... I have not figured it out yet either, I assume it will get better?

Its really slow. As for site navigation, it may take some getting used to. For a first time visitor, its probably just fine, except for the speed or lack of, that I mentioned.

The more I visited the site the more I didn't like it so I sent them an email and told them how I felt about it and why. I'll probably never hear from them but it gave some satisfaction. I've talked to a few of the other members and have yet to find someone who liked it. Brent B.

I used to use the wish list email option now you have to pay a monthly fee, that's not gonna happen. I miss the big pics too. SLOOOOOOOOOWWW

The problem is that Pete was "borrowing" their photos. And they got the straight scoop on him from PIA. Pretty soon every dealer and auction sight on line will become an "Ebbink Free Zone".

I always liked Guns america.. I discovered if you "Log In" you can see large sized photos.. annoying but works for me anyway. My biggest complaint is you cannot click "Lugers" and sort by "Newest First" (which was a daily thing for me). The only positive I see so far is the sellers backend of the site is much better. We will see

If you click "Log In to See Full sized images" on the Left side.. Log In.. then you can click on the pics and they show full size at the bottom of the screen. Still Very annoying, and I agree.. they have some bugs and features they need to fix

Why dance with ugly women when there are good looking ones a few steps away?

The new format seems to want even folks that browse to register with personal info.

You can do with one of the spam email accounts that are free and enter in any "non accurate" info. you want about your personal stuff...

It may not make any difference but it might be good if everyone contacted them and gave them their thoughts on the changes. Brent B.

I'm pretty new at this but that was a site that I used to check every day,
it just isn't worth while now, I miss the old style.

If everyone remembers GA is super liberal and had a big stink at one time about allowing NAZI guns since they are so evil. I think they might just liberal themselves out of business...Jerry Burney
