Prinz' proof marks are not too sharply edged. Simply stated, they lack crispness. He's obviously been reblued since his 1918 production; because there is a very small amount of minor pitting visible under the present finish. Thor, without revealing any secrets, is there any way to, at least partially, restore proof marks' definition or crispness?

You can have them restamped. You will have to find somebody that has the proof stamp or a repro stamper.
