Default After market mag. question.

Just picked an after market mag. It is either stainless or nickel matte finish. . Has the old style coil spring with plunger and a plastic mag. base with concentric circles. The base is retained by two cross pins. No markings. quality appears very good. Any ideas on this one. David.

Hi

Sounds a lot like an Italian made Mec Gar magazine to me. Check these sites:

I've had some problems with these mags in the past, due to roughness inside after plating, so I perfer their blued ones. If you do have problems, disassemble and polishing out the inside, will probably help. Or you may want to consider the wood bottomed Stainless triple K mags recommended on the Forum a few days ago.
