I have acquired a 1906 DWM American Eagle with two mags that have wooden bottoms. With the mag inserted till it "locks" in place, it sticks out of the butt about 1/4". Could these be 9mm mags used in a 7.65 gun?? This my first Luger and would appreciate any help.. Thanks.

7.65 and 9mm use the same magazines... When you say sticks out, you mean the body of the mag is seen 1/4 inch? Looking around on this board they look wonkey?
For work, I'll be coming through Nampa and hopefully seeing another forum member beginning of September! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> Welcome to the forum! Ed

Thanks Ed--With the slide removed, I inserted the mag until it "clicks" in. Tha top of the mag is then flush with the frame, but the mag sticks out of the butt about 1/4".
I'm a volunteer at the Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa and would be happy to give you a tour. Just give me a buzz. 208 467-1290 Al Pilch |
