Default Ammunition

Gentlemen:

A quick question; I just picked up a shooter from Mr.Shattuck and am in need of a suggestion as to the preferred commercial round for this.

Thank!

Ray

My shooter (well, actually my only Luger) operates flawlessly with Winchester 115 gr. which you will find at a reasonable price at any Wal-Mart. I personally think that this is better for the gun than the more hotter rounds available, but I know that there are a lot of people who disagree. For consistent accuracy and reliability, I would avoid mixing brands as much as possible.

Ray, while I can agree with Mike and Ted, I have had excellent luck with Walmarts Remington 115 gr cartridges. They are about $7 per box of 50. I thank EOCBob for the recommendation. Both of us had finicky Lugers that performed flawlessly with this ammo. Good Luck.

Thanks Frank and I agree, Remington UMC works best in my Lugers and the best part is (my) Walmart has just lowered the price to $5.96 from $6.47 for 50 rounds. Not a better ammo bargain around. Winchester's "target/range" loads just did not do as well. Others may have different results.

Default Bob, thanks for the data! :)

I am going to WalMart tomorrow to see if they have lowered the prices here. When yours were $6.47, mine was $6.95, but still a bargin in my eyes.
