I inherited this recently and the markings have me confused. I checked the technical section and I’m just not sure. Could be a Nitro or commercial proof post 1920. Still unsure. Serial number 140. Here are some photos: https://postimg.cc/gallery/Ck0y4BB

Yes, it's a Commercial luger with custom grips.
It is probably 7.65mm (.30 cal luger). I would guess it was made in 1929 |

The serial number is 140u, the suffix is part of the serial number.
