I have a shooter P.38 that had been refinished many years ago. The old finish is pretty much worn away, maybe only 50% remaining. I'd like to remove what remains of the finish and use a good bluing solution or paste to re-blue the P.38. To have it refinished by a gun smith in my area could run in excess of $100 and I don't want to spend that much to have it re-blued. Could someone recommend a good product? Thanks

There is a whole thread on re-blueing, look under the Repairs, restoration, refinishing thread
