Grip marking

My 1918/1920 has a grip marking of. 9./J.R.19.30. The 30 is in a smaller font.

It's a Reichswehr marking that indicates 9th Company, Infantry Regiment 19, weapon # 30.

It is my understanding that the Reichswehr had 7 Divisions with 21 infantry regiments. Was this Luger part of the Bavarian 19th Regiment?

Actually Pistol, it is 6 years. Just like keeping you guys in suspense, lol.

While commonly called a "Double Date", the 1920 is not a date but a property mark of the Weimar Republic and shows that it was in service with a Weimar military unit during that time. The marking has already been explained but what sets it apart from the Imperial German military markings is the / which wasn't used by the Imperial military. The order of the numbers for company, regiment etc. are also read differently.
