Default Remember Wood Box Surplus PP Cleaning Kits

I remember when these were easy to find and cheap to buy. Now they are hard to find and I have no idea what they are worth (probably still not much).

They encapsulate what I love about German products; well made, attractive and efficient. A place for every thing and every thing in its place. Tools made with care and pride by men instead of spit out in the quadrillions by machines. Please post yours. They are always interesting to see:

Even the chain is nickle plated:

Glass bottle (no plastic here) with a bakelite cap.

I wish they still made well crafted things like this instead of the molded and impersonal stuff so common nowadays:

Howdy Jim,

Approx. 5 7/8" x 3 1/8 x 1

I don't have a metric handy to give you exact measurements but it's pretty close.

Wilhelm,

Here is one of my 7,65mm police cleaning kits with a generic "Polizei" property marking. I have another for the 9mm Walther P.38 / P.1 along with a photo album showing it in use if I can find it.

Yes, please do. I have a couple 9mm kits but, judging by the length of the pull through chain, I'm pretty sure they were intended for the UZI and MP5 rather than the P38. I would much like to see one specifically for the P1.

This one is like your RG34 kit except it appears to have a shorter chain. Here are photos from a postwar Niedersachsen Polizei photo album showing them in use with the P.38 / P.1
