Were the hold opens on the M1900 American Eagle lugers serial numbered to the pistol as later models were? I have picked one up with all matching numbers, but the hold open is blank (no number at all). Just curious if this is correct?

1900 AE hold open is not numbered. Congrats on your purchase. Post photos.
