Default Waffen SS Helmet Cover

The Itallian source sells a cover they call Type WH. It has tie strings instead of the metal clips. How much was this type used? I see clips in almost all my book photos.

Default Re: Waffen SS Helmet Cover

I can only guess that "WH" stands for Wehrmacht. This really should be Heer (Army) who used a splinter pattern cover with draw string rather than the W-SS oak leaf and plane tree patterns with the rocker hooks. In other words these are two very different animals. I will tell you that original W-SS helmet covers are rarer than K date Lugers and often much more expensive.
