Default Is this mag correct....?

...for my 1940 Mauser P08?...The Luger number is 3489, and this mag is 3498.

If it is correct for my Luger, I'd like to buy it. Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob.

Bob, the magazine in the picture, SE/63 #3498g would have been issued with a 1938 S/42 luger. It would help to know the suffix on your gun to find a more "correct" magazine.

Bob & Tom, I read the suffix letter on this mag as a "v" vise "g", which would make it for a 1939 PO8. TH

Tom, the SE/63 looks, at least to me, like the small variety. So if it's a "v" it goes with a 1937 Luger!!

Definately NOT for a 1940!!

If it's a "v" it could go with a number of 30's dated Mauser Lugers. The v-block was set aside for quite a variety of contract guns including the 1936 Banners that were sent to Thailand.

This is a photo of the numbers on my Luger. I guess the mag in question is in fact, NOT a match....

The actual matching mag to my Luger appears in Don Hallock's Master list, but the owner had passed away and Don deleted the owner's information, so I can only hope that the new owner of this mag eventually comes here, and puts it on the forum's list...

Thanks to all for your replies. I'm grateful.

Cheers,
Bob.
