I have a 7.65mm which looks to have at least two proofs removed from the barrel extension. The proof on the toggle also appears to have been buffed off.
The DWM & serial numbers are still there along with the Century barrel import mark. Why were the proofs removed? The serial numbers are 4433o. Due to the better sights, I think it is a commercial, but I can't find a good serial number source.

Many Weimar era commercials were reworks of Imperial military Lugers.
The o suffix fits into the alphabet commercial range, or it could be the original military serial # with the military proofs and chamber date removed for commercial sale. Mike C.

If the proofs were removed from the right receiver, it was definitely a military pistol to start out with.

Thanks for the info. I wish they had kept the original info, but I can understand that they want to make it look new, plus why admit to re-selling goverment property.
