Hey all, I have been given a 1917 DWM. It has all matching SN, including the grips. It has not been re-finished. It only has the German proof symbols on the right hand side and not many other marks. It came with two clips that have the wooden "pull handles" on the bottom, but I don't see any numbers on them. The local Luger expert here in Reno said it was 80% and promptly offered $400 for it. Thanks to some of you, I laughed at him.
My question is, where would be the best place to sell it? I know it's collectible, but I just never been a handgun kind of guy. Now the 100% Browning Superposed she left me? I plan on keeping that. |

You might want to take some photos of it and post it here on the forum to get peoples opinion of the value and you could then offer it for sale here on the forum or put it on one of the gun sites like GunBroker or AuctionArms. Brent B.

Daryl, welcome to the forum. As Brent said, pictures help a lot. It could be worth $1600 or it could be worth $400 if nickled...
Sometimes the "local luger expert" is an idiot, and sometimes they know what they see. ed
