I believe that the inscription on this Luger is "9 of 100" which does not necessarily mean that there are 91 more of these "presentation" pieces in existance, it just implies that "if we can find 91 more customers, we willl knock them off on demand". Probably there weren't more than a dozen or so produced until the market demand was established.

Pimp guns, whether you like them or not, are a part of American vernacular culture. This piece of #### is someone's misguided attempt to create a collection piece and does not deserve the appellation. Hopefully, the high price of lugers will deter this kind of butchery in the future. KFS
