Has anyone seen a marking like this on a magazine before ?

As Tom said, Weimar Police acceptance.
K is the most common letter, but there are other letters used also. Ed

Other Weimar police acceptance letters that I've observed under an asterisk are B, D, K & S. These probably correspond to the inspector's initial, as with the Imperial military initial under a crown. Also the large numeral die set used is typical Weimar police, although the use of the Roman numerals to indicate #1 &2 mags is not seen too often. TH
