Purchased a while ago a DWM 1916 in excellent condition with AL.3.16 Unit marked.
Who knows something about it? Is it a police unit? unfortunatedly British proof markings where stamped on the right side of the barrel With that there was a WWI Holster marked SH 181 on the backside which I can recognize as Schutzpolizei Hannover. Can send pictures! Regards ![]() |

Pisto, the marking probably means Landwehr Company, Artillery Regiment 3, weapon # 16. Someone else might have a better guess.
