Post Reising .22cal Semi Auto

A bit off topic...saw this in a pawn shop It is slick as hell. Rust blued with some strawed parts. As I recall, it was patented in the 20's. A really beautiful .22 auto pistol. Does anyone know anything about this gun? The shop owner said he got it from some oldtimer who walked in off the street.

from the 21rst Gun Traders Guide " Reising Target Auto. Pistol $425....hinged frame, outside hammer caliber 22LR, 12 shot, 6.5 inch barrel, fixed sights, blue finish, hard rubber grips. Made 1921-24." No picture, darn. If you buy it, tell us about it.

George, These seem to be popping up everywhere. I found one last week in a local gunshop. $250.00 Pretty good condition except for a cracked grip. I almost bought it as a shooter. Jerry Burney

Fjestad notes a warning that the slide of a Reising may crack if modern high-speed .22 ammo is used.
