Question Memory check for the old timers.

Ok, does any of the old timers remember the old, old board? In particular the guy who was threatening to run over his drum mag if we did not buy it?
Just wondering if anyone here ever got it or if it was destroyed? Or if it ever existed at all? I remember some heated posts by all!

This guy said he owned it and said the state he was living in passed a law making it illegal to own and he decided to destroy it if he didnt get big $$ for it. He also ignored all sugguestions to sell in on consignment with dealers. It was entertaining and I always wondered if there really was a snail drum mag. Seems like he said he was going to publish a picture of a flattened magazine that he ran over with a tractor. I never believed it.

Okay... Guilty... I admit it...I am one of the old, old timers...

His name was Bill McDonough wasn't it Thor? or something very close to that... and if I remember correctly he was located in New Jersey. He claimed he was liquidating a collection that belonged to a deceased relative that was a gunsmith...

Can't say that I have heard anything about him since then...

I remember that episode very clearly; it was right out of Blazing Saddles famous Cleavon Little's routine...

Ohhh, Billy.

yes, interesting guy, sounded not very bright, high prices on some Luger parts, but I think he changed his mind when offered a reasonable amount of money.

Still have pictures of the items he was selling on my PC.
