I've got a type two snail drum and am having a problem getting it to lock into position when its loaded, I forgot to try it unloaded. I've taken all 3 of my artys apart and it slides in and locks as it should. If I put everything back together it just doesn't want to lock. I tried once with the toggle partially back and it locked. Is this something I need to do whenever I'm shooting? There's no problem with my regular mags locking into position. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks, Brent B

Hello Brent
Sorry but you'll have to do such way everytime. The original manual for the LP08 and the Trommelmagazin shows a soldier that pushes upward the drum bottom with the leg while is is pulling back the toggle.Else is impossible to push down the first cartridge(and the other also!) when the drum is filled.(page 116 of Jan Still's "Imperial Lugers" beautiful book)
