I'd sooner have that original LP-08 holster that he has. I don't know what the seller would want it for. After all, its obsolete.

Hey Jim,
thanks fo the offer, but I am looking for some original 1914's (4 - one with all the leather goodies), a 17 and a 18 to complete some rigs that I have. I got a western stye artillery (?) holster from my brother in Caliphoneyia, but it just was not right and really didn't fit. Close, but not quite there. Someday, I am going to travel down to your neck of the woods and pick up one of those Florida collections that you mentioned when you were here in Michigan. It might be good just to go down there just to meet you when you are not in a hurry to get back home. Your a good man. Oh! I recently picked up a nice 1917 artillery holster. I am thinking of robbing a 1916 rig holster of its stock cup, shoulder straps and closing strap to complete a rig for a 1917 artillery that I have that has the matching stock and magazine. It looks like all the parts have simular dye jobs and wear. Its just that some idiot screwed the closing strap to the back of the holster in order to close the lid on the holster. I have to contend with those screw holes on the back. But the holster is, otherwise, very nice. Big Norm |

Norm,
Your welcome to come down and I'll show you my small collection, but its nothing compared to the collection of artilleries you have. Iâ??m afraid that my collection would bore you. I wish I had the extra money you have so I could buy a few more guns, but the wife and kids still have the habit of eating so it always seems that Iâ??m a little short in the extra $ department. My guess is that because of all the storms, I might see a few more lugers for sale at the local gun shows. Everybody is trying to cover their losses and need extra $ to pay for the essential things that insurance and FEMA didnâ??t cover. It seems that only those who had nothing to start with are making out from these disasters. Example: If someone owned a home that was next to worthless to start with or rented and the roof blew off, FEMA would already have paid to have the roof repaired, paid for temporary housing while they wait to get it fixed, and provide money for food, clothing and personal possessions lost during the storm. However, someone like me who has insurance (6% Hurricane Deductible) waits for the insurance adjuster to acess the damage and they send a settlement statement to FEMA , before FEMA will assist me with my losses. In the mean time I have to pay out of pocket to repair the damage so that the house doesnâ??t deteriorate any further and pay for any temporary housing, and personal possessions are not covered. What I really like is the people on the local news who are complaining that they have to pay 3% to cash their $5,000 - $10,000 FEMA checks at a check cashing store. (you wonder why they donâ??t have a bank account to start with) Iâ??m going to get off my soap box, sorry way off topic! Jim
