In "The Heroes of Telemark" there is at least one German Actor that also appears in "Where Eagles Dare", Anton Driffring playing Major Frick in the former and Colonel Kramer in the later. He also starred in a 1978 film "Hitler's Son" anybody see this one? Plot summary is:
The leader of a right-wing German political party discovers that an illiterate woodcarver is actually the son of Adolf Hitler. He kidnaps the young man from a mental institution and prepares him to start the Fourth Reich. |

I haven't heard of that one Ted. The plot makes me think of "The Boys from Brazil" where Auschwitz doctor Joseph Mengele tried to clone Hitler.

"Boys from Brazil" actually takes place in 1970s Brazil where Nazi hunters are hunting Mengele down. It's interesting because Mengele REALLY did flee to Brazil. At the time the movie was made (1970s) Mengele had not been found yet. In real life, it was later learned Mengele drowned after suffering a stroke. This movie was mentioned after the controversy in sheep cloning erupted a couple of years ago. I haven't seen it in years. I'm gonna have to rent it too.
