Check out this Luger collection!
Use this link:
http://site27663.dellhost.com/Wehrma.../hobnails.html All of these belong to one guy! He has one of EVERYTHING! The gun safe pictures do NOT have a mirror behind them, what you see are actually the seperate rows themselves! Enjoy! Rob. |

Robert,
Too bad he credits the 1922 Vickers lugers being issued to India...??? Probably got that mixed up with Indonesia via the Dutch. p.s. I think Ralph Shattuck's luger room still has this fellow beat...Ralph has a ~ 15-30 room with all four wall that look just like this partial view...guns displayed behind the glass sliding doors are personal collection guns...guns in the racks below are inventory for sale... <a href="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/ralphslugerroom_copy1.jpg" target="_fullview"><img src="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/ralphslugerroom_copy1.jpg" width="400" alt="Click for fullsize image" /></a> Regards, Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" /> |

Pete,
I have never heard of Ralph Shattuck. Where is he located? The link above is the largest personal grouping of Lugers I have ever personally seen. I took all of the pictures and Der Webmeister did the text. The owner is 72 years old and doesn't even show them anymore. Rob. |

Very cool Rob< i didn't realize that this was one collection! I thought it was many peoples items, I have been to the website before and it is impressive! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
Ralph lives in Arizona, to visit is by appointment and invitation only from what I understand. He is a very nice man, I have been to his hosue twice and my wife hates me going there, as I get all excited at such diversity and Lugers everywhere!! ed

Hi Johnnie, I found that by deleting the last parts, till I came to http://site27663.dellhost.com/Wehrmacht/ that it is the "front" page for that site.
That is the way I check for more pages, just go back each "step" and see where it takes you! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" /> Ed

If you were interested in a particular model and wanted to see if Mr. Shattuck had one, how do you contact him? Will he sell to anyone or how does his operation work? Thanks

Wow!!!....What a superb collection!!.....they certainly have enough WW2 German firepower.....I do not think there is much danger of the USA being invaded by hostile forces...with all that weaponry....the USA sure is well defended!!!!

That host site is of the Reenacting Unit 352nd Infanterie Division, of which I am a member!
There are lots of really sweet pics on that site including the ONLY Museum quality restored sIG33 (150mm Infantry Howitzer) in the United States! We take it out a few times a year to play with. Ususally at D-Day in Conneaut Ohio. Now THAT is a spectacle in itself! Check out the D-Day pics too: http://www.3cblueing.com/Wehrmacht/H.../hobnails.html This happens every year in September on Lake Erie. Rob. |

Pete,
The 'Vickers issued to India' may hold some truth in it as Vickers produced some commercial versions for sale to others besides the Dutch so it would not be impossible for one to end up in India under British rule with some British commercial proofs on it. |
