Curt Vogel holster fuq 1941
Svd unit mark Deactivated mag safety Active sear safety 1921 made for army diverted to police What sdv 339 on the fore grip means , I don’t know. Why it’s in a 1941 dated holster no clue. All parts matched I believe the grips to be genuine too. Far as I can tell I think it may have been unit marked around 1935 in schlucktern . Prewar only true aryans could be swhatspolice.it was like the Maphia or something they had trace both your parents lineage back to Germany pretty heavy stuff. Or a Mec-Gar. Typically brown for Navy, black for Mec-Gar. Brown is more valuable but a black Mec-Gar is probably more reliable, IMHO.

Neil,
I'm still trying to get my head around what "Prewar only true aryans could be swhatspolice.it was like the Maphia or something they had trace both your parents lineage back to Germany pretty heavy stuff" in the original post is all about, and then this tik tok thing comes along. Ditto what you said. Ron

Thanks guys I don’t know what the hell I’ve been googling.
Shupo command V Düsseldorf anyone care to guess on the 339 after the sdv? Good day sirs Ps After the war, the city was occupied by Belgian and British forces after 1918 and by French troops from 1921 to 1925.[14] In 1920, Düsseldorf became the centre of the General Strike that grew out of the resistance to the Kapp Putsch. On 15 April 1920, 45 delegates of the German Miners Union were murdered by the Freikorps.[17] One year later ? This very pistol was made by dwm and ended up in Düsseldorf? |

My immediate thought would be the weapon number.

Maybe for the SS, but not for regular police?

My citation for where I got that was from the following source
1.) History Writ in Steel by L. Donald Maus , Chapter 7, Table 7-6, Page 112 When you get into police or military unit markings it gets weird. I have a 1915/1920 military marked Luger that was in Glogau Garrison which ended up being given to Poland |
