Post trigger tuning

My S/42 trigger almost bottoms out on the spring before the striker releases. This makes the trigger pull well over 6 pounds.

What is the best way to change this?

thanks
Jim

Oldguy, The easiest way is to replace or modify the trigger & sear springs. If you want a quicker release your will have to either bend the trigger (sear) bar or replace (don't try to bend this one) trigger lever inside the side plate. Tom H.

Thanks a 10^6!!!

The trigger pull is still 5 or 6 pounds but it's on the scale now and I don't feel the spring bottom out before it releases. Tremendous improvement!

thanks!
