I just purchased my first Luger. It is an all matching BYF 42 black widow with the original plastic grips. My question is the mag, it is not numbered and I want to know if it is correct to the gun. It is FXO marked with an eagle over 37, also the bottom is black plastic with no markings on it. Thanks to all who can help me!

Welcome to the Lugerforum.
The black plastic bottomed FXO mags are not serial numbered because stamping would break them. The mag is correct to your byf 42 black widow Luger. Please post photographs of your new Luger for us to see... I would especially like to see clear focus closeups of the inside of your black bakelite grips. thanks,
