Looks like a winner, Eric.
Funny about cameras - I was gifted a set of extra lenses for my iPhone 7 at a Christmas party, including a macro lens that clips over the existing lens. It helps with close-up shots and I was pretty excited about how it would make my phone more useful, but I still find that my 2006 vintage Sony point and shoot 6 MP digital camera with a macro setting takes better close-ups. I recall paying about $200 for the camera, I believe. Maybe a little more. I still use the phone most of the time due to convenience, but if I really need the best available clarity and detail the 11-year old Sony still works best.

Eric,
good start! Now find a plain background, please. Good lighting in those pictures, but you have the same pesky shadows we have up there too!

Eric, very good pictures. You'll like the Nikon Coolpix. They are quite well made and supported by the manufacturer.
But... how do you take a picture of the new camera itself? On cloth backgrounds, this is a useful article: http://www.ebay.com/gds/10-Things-Yo...7628220/g.html

You are right
This was taken in indirect light/cloud! Thank for pointing that out! I tried your method and a grey textured background doe best! Enlarge it and all the detail are striking~

Following suggestions of our friends, Indirect lighting and neutral grey course textured background. I can finally capture proofs and serial numbers without laquer stick! Here are the results! What do you think? Eric
