Thought I'd share, this is a box of early ammo - no rounds in it unfortunately, but the box is in exceptionally nice shape! If I say so myself
![]() I did wrap in shrink wrap, probably should have taken pictures before because of slight glare, but I didn't want it getting damaged. 7.65mm and supposed to be for a carbine. Since I've never seen a real box of this, I bought it. It is nicely marked DWM on the end flap and funny enough, A.E. underneath, which I am sure does not mean American Eagle, although it was imported by Stoeger

Was the bullet blackened, or the cartridge case??? I've been wondering what these were for years...They're 9mm and I was told they were SMG rounds...

The carbine cartridge case was blackened, the bullets usually are cupro-nickle. What is the headstamp on your loose rounds?

Very nice box Ed, rounds above look like German WWII rounds but headstamp will tell.
