Default A change is as good as a rest

Following a number of P08 acquisitions over the years, I'm pleased to say, a pistol that has remain elusive in my modest collection has finally been filled.
Locally collected P38 rig AC42 with some period 9mm too.
One of the pistols 'liberated' from the German's following 5 years occupation. We celebrate 9th May annually with local enactment & military displays.
Here's the P38, appears unfired from the war.

I don't recall if the Channel Islands have the same draconian gun laws as mainland Britain. Your pistol looks like it has not been demilled.

Can you refresh my memory?

I have selected the part that refers to where I reside.

Channel Islands:
Jersey: No capacity limits on anything. Handguns are perfectly legal. Semi auto centerfire rifles are also legal. Generally speaking pretty much anything thats legal in the U.S, short of full auto, is available here. However, anything that produces more than 1 ft/lb of energy must be put on your FAC, which basically means anything other than an airsoft gun.
There is also an oddity where Shotgun shells must contain more than 5 shot with a diameter greater than .23", so no buckshot or slugs. Why this exists I have no idea but slugs must be expressly specified on the FAC. Also shotgun barrels must be 24" or more, though oddly there is no restriction on barrel lengths for any other types of firearm.

Demilled suggests something harmful is done to the pistol. I've not come across this term before today - I prefer to leave as found.

In short, this more tolerant approach permits me to acquire and shoot pistols and converted firearms that may remain sadly out of reach of others at this time.

Here are a couple of rifles I use, M14 & FAL G1; perhaps some other members have shared use?

The Channel Islands if I remember correctly are no really part of the United Kingdom, they have got their own Government, different Laws, and of course and most of all a very "different taxation".

Thank you for showing some of your guns. You most definitely have acquired some high quality examples. I own a complete P-38 rig, but nowhere as nice as yours. Congrats!!

OP, it would be an understatement to say that I am jealous. Nice guns.
