I don't know what those marks are, but what happened to the takedown lever - it is welded in place???
Is this a British UK gun?

Alas this one is deactivated gun WWI - and what happened with take down lever is a method of deactivation. This gun is not in UK now.

Alas, the Brit's solution to high unemployment: Have long lines of persons hammering stamps onto guns.
