Default Third Reich Lugers Purchase

I just bought a "new" copy of Third Reich Lugers and Their Accessories. I say "new" because it was sealed and was sold as new. The book as very crisp and looks brand new, however I found a business card in the back.

Can anyone shed some insight? Mind you this was sealed.

F.G.S. is a retailer dealing in Lugers and accessories. Very likely this copy was sold new by them. I suspect that "as new condition" applies as it obviously was the property of someone that bought it from F.G.S. At any rate, if it looks brand new for all practical purposes it is new...I wouldn't give it a second thought unless you paid an exorbitant amount for it.

I got an awesome price and the condition is what I would consider new so no issues there. I was just curious as to the card. To a lesser degree how the card got in the sealed book but more about the folks and the notations on the card.

I just thought I would share, as I am sure these gents are on this forum.

No, I don't think fgs is on the forum anymore, someone was just asking about them on the p38 forum today...

Evidently plastic resealers are not that hard to get.

Jan sold them sealed and in a shipping box, just like his new book Central Powers.

Doug Smith is a registered long time member here. I don't recall seeing him post for a very long time. I had heard he was very ill and I hope nothing has happened to him. The book looks new to me too.
