Opinions on 1916

I made an offer on a DWM. I like it as it looks real pretty in the pictures but it is at least partially refinished.
What would be the value of something like this? I actually like original better but this sure is pretty. It is above my current budget.
It is all matching. The mag is a little questionable. But appears correct.
How about the grips? They look darn crisp for that age. They have no marks or numbers.

Without getting into every detail on it, the fact that it has been at least partially refinished sort of shoots the heck out of the collector value. Original finish on a nice WW1 gun might bring $1200-$1500, this one probably well under a grand, probably $700 or so, maybe $800. It's a good looking gun but resist paying much over my figures for this one, as it is a "shooter".

No "partially" involved here. Every area visible in the photos has been refinished. The buffing, although light, did not respect crisp edges nor flat surfaces.

An $800 gun, at best.

Again another P.08 heavily refurbished all over. Also the grips do look too new.
Considering the date it was made and the fact that we have no idea of what it's like inside the barrel I would not even even know for sure if it is a shooter

For what one can see, it looks the same, although the photo of the catalogue it's too small anyway.

If both descriptions are correct, a 1916 DWM both with that serial#, it didn't sell at that auction in 2009. Not a very photo minded auction site, for sure. Having attended a few auctions in britian, unless the auction is south of London and you're in north Scotland, you can pretty much drive to auctions anywhere and examine the goods personally though.

This O.P.'s gun is completely buffed and re-done, but not very well I think - too shiny!
The grips actually look old, they have enough wear, but if un-numbered, are probably not original to this gun. They do not fit correctly - see big gap at top left under sideplate, and small gap at bottom? On all my guns, the original grips fit so tight you have to jam them back on. I think because they tend to swell up over time.

The gun in England doesn't look the same to me. The grips are different color - they may have just left the suffix letter off the description. And we don't know what the suffix is the first gun above either.
