I can remember walking into Sarco, Inc. many moons ago and seeing these stacked up to the ceiling in a small room. All the pistols had Chilean Army crests.

They show up with removed crests for 700-800 all the time, double that with the crest. Last time I checked D Rachwal's site he had several in that range.

The 1905 Steyrs with the removed crest are from Argentina. I do not recall ever seeing one from Chile.

You are right, Ron. The Chilean pistols I saw were 1912 Steyrs, not the 1905.
