Hello to all, I posted this on the P.38 forum with no replies?? So, I thought I'd ask here, as the crates would probably work just as well for 4" barrel Lugers, but then again, maybe not with the different grip angle...
![]() Soooo, when the bulk of the P38s were imported in the last go around, they were shipped in metal shipping boxes holding, I think, quantity 30 P38's, with all the appropriate padding and such...does anyone know approximately what one of these is worth on the current marketplace?? I have two I'm considering selling or trading..But really have no idea as to value, etc... Anyone with an interest or info can email me at gctomeks@msn.com best to all, til...lat'r....GT  |

IIRC these shipping containers were of WW2 vintage, but were recycled from WW2 ammunition or hand grenade shipping containers.
I wouldn't mind owning one, though. Nice WW2 / Russian Capture / End of Cold War story in one box. |

Hi Rich, post war?? Most likely.... I never really gave it that much thought.. there was a big scramble to get them 20 years ago... I heard tell that most were just tossed?? I'll take some pics today, and perhaps someone can help me post them..??... As I'm fairly challenged on computers..
