Black Widow Grips

I bought these at a gun auction along with a set of wood grips i know are good, but i dont know anything about black widow grips. Thanks Rick

Rick, Genuine grips are a real study in themselves..Look for quality first. The Germans didn't scrimp on it. The checkering was sharp and the rear of the grips on many had threaded holes where yours show dimples. It's reported this was to store the grip screws while the grips were off. Might have helped to take them out of the molds too.
There are many threads on this subject if you want to spend the time..

Hi Rick, Jerry is correct on the grips being post war production... But, I'm not sure from whom, or even when they were made?? I've bought and sold several sets of those same grips for between $25.00 and $40.00 over the last several years... and although I like the original German WW2 varity best, these coarse checkered sets are one of the best shooter grip sets I've yet to find... really sticks in your hand, if that's what you like... So, I don't think you did too bad, as long as they suite you... I like them anyway, but they are a bit fragile, so don't try to draw them down with out a proper fit... Best to you,

Those look like the original wood grips to me?? Hang onto them if you still can? I don't understand if you bought them for $15 or sold them for the same? Anyway, welcome into the school of "Higher Luger Learning" (sometimes!

If you got those wood grips for just $15 you more than made up for the $40 you blew on the plastic grips...big time!

Rick, Your "BW" grips are not the most common US made one. They appear to be either Portugese or Finnish replacements and may be of interest to someone needing grips for one of those. TH
