Hello
I am looking to add a WWII shooter to my collection ( already have nice DWM commercial 30 cal luger). I am looking at a 1938 S/42 luger, 95%, all matching parts including magazine, not refinished. However, the stock lug has been ground down removing its collector value. I estimate the street value as $800-$1000. Is this correct? Would I be better off buying a mismatched parts gun for less as a shooter? |

Do you think that a gun with the stock lug ground off Would be worth that much? In today's values.

It is a shooter, and the price is a bit high as such. Depending on how well is was ground off/refinished, I'd go $700 and no more if it is otherwise very nice.
