If anyone can help ID this and maybe value. All numbers match except the clip (wood grip). Proof marks seem to make it German military 1908-1913. I think the grip marks are 109th Regiment Machine Gun(?). Any history on unit?
I think I did the pictures correct.(?) One of the proof marks shows up on 3 pieces. Thanks for all help. |

Hi Rick. You have a DWM "1st Issue" made in 1909. You're right about the unit mark, this Luger was issued to the 109th Regiment's machine gun company. Can you post more photos. Regards, and welcome to the forum, Norm

From what I can find, it appears like a fairly early SN.
Any help or info on this would be much appreciated along with a ballpark value. Not interested in selling, just finding out what it is. Got it from my father who has had it for several years in an old tube sock in a paper bag with a book on Lugers. Seems to operate and move smoothly, but kind of tight. Thanks for any info. |
