Greetings,
I recently acquired a shooter grade Luger P08 and am having an issue with it at the range. While the toggle is undergoing recoil, the locking bolt rotates between the 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock position and the side plate falls to the ground. The barrel / receiver assembly disengages from the frame. Is there any way to correct this issue? Please let me know if any additional information is needed. Thank you for your reply! |

Probably combined wear of the locking bolt and the L-shaped locking bolt retaining pin.
Start by replacing the pin (or installing it, if it is missing). The locking bolt can be slid out of the frame, revealing the little L-shaped spring that resides underneath it. |

There are several sources for replacement springs for the takedown lever. A good one is Tom Heller (Lugerdoc)... find one of his posts and PM him.
