I am doing this for my father. I do have access to the luger to gather more informtion. I have done research on my own and coming to a dead end. I am including pictures dont think they will show up well. Here is some info. It has DWM and an Eagle Crest on top. Serial Number is 2322 with a C below it. The words are in german on saftey and on breach thing. It has A.F stoeger and germany on one side. Has adjustable sight. When you open the breach you can see a little falcon or something.

I'm just starting in these myself. but from what you've said you might have a pretty rare piece. I'm thinking a 1923 Stoerger American Eagle. Wait and see what the old timers have to say.

Shane,
The receiver, if original, is rare, but the 'c' suffix on the frame doesn't fit into Stoeger marked Luger production. Check the suffix to make sure. If it is a 'c', the frame is from a military Luger, which would put it into the shooter catagory. A very cool shooter though.

Sounds like either a Stoeger artillery upper on a P08 frame or a Stoeger to which an artllery barrel was later added. Better photos are needed to give you any meaningful info.

Shane, Your long barrel AE commerical most likely had the long barrel added here in the USA by Stoeger or Pacific Arms Corp. to a standard military P08 (see Kenyon's Lugers at Random pages 184-187. To be a M1923 Stoeger variation, the right receiver should be Stoeger marked. See L@R page196&197. Interesting that your commerical rear sight elevator has the release button on the right side, vise militaries which on on the left. TH

everything on the gun has the stamp 22 put into it except the barrel and sight which has a 4. but every other piece on it has 22 stamped. This info is helpful I will try to take better pictures tonight with it.
