Default Replacement Mag?

A recent 41 byf came with one matching mag & the following.
Is this an armourer replacement?
It has both 42 & 655 markings.

My guess!! Your magazine is an armorers replacement for a late 1939 or 1940 Military Mauser Luger!

That's great to hear Frank - This would tie in well with the '41 issue if one mag had been lost or damaged. Are these scarce?

One nice thing about armourer's replacement mags, they are "correct" with most WWII Lugers. These mags are not rare, but they are scarse.
