Default What do you mean about this Luger?

Hi,

I'm back. I have found a (I think) nice Luger. I don't know the price, I hope you can tell me on the basis of the photos whatâ??s approximately the condition is and what the value of this Luger is.

Sorry, the link doesn't really work, please click on "Special Interests" and than on "WW2 and collector arms".

Thanks for your help,
Roman

Hi Roman,
The nice all matching ones I've seen go for around $1600 USD. This one has a lot of blue loss, especially on the right side frame rail and ear. Personally I wouldn't pay more than $1000 - $1100. I hope others give there opiniun also.

Guns in this shape change hands on the East Coast at $700-900.

Roman, I don't like the small pitting on the rear of the frame. If you get it cheap enough it might be worth it, but I would think you can find a better deal / nicer shape?

Thanks for the two new posts,

Edward Tinker, i have a question to your sentence.

You write :"but I would think you can find a better deal / nicer shape?"

On which price you based this statmant? I think it isn't easy to finde one in Austria, by us this Guns are rare. But if you found a good one, they are very expensive.

From a friend of the seller i heard a price in the range of 600 Euro, which are approximately 790$.

Is this a good price for?

Do the pittings influences have on the technics or only on the optics?

And would you say thats a shooter or a collector. Because you have to know, I'm searching for a Luger to shoot with, but anyway I'd like to finde one with matching numbers.

Thanks for your help and arduousness.

Looks pretty good compared to some of the buffed & blued mismatches you see selling in the $600 range on the auction sites. If you could it for 10% less I'd think I got a pretty fair deal.

If it's matching numbers and good condition in the barrel 600 Euro is a fair price in my opinion.

If you live in Austria why not check out the German market as well?

That one would probably be priced between $ 3500-3900 here in the USA with some dealers.

2000 euro = 3000 USD (Or close to it)
The US dollar is getting weaker.
