I recently picked up a BYF 41. According to the great folks here, the serial # shows that it was made about the end of Feb. '41. I would like to get the right holster for the gun. Any advice on what I should look for and where I should look. Were the holsters matched to the gun, were there certain manufacturers that would be correct, or was it simply guns came from one pile and holsters from another when being issued to the troops. Any help is appreciated.
P.S. Thanks to all who have helped a rookie, I really do appreciate it.

Will, I think holsters were issued as they had them. That said, it is possible to have one that was 1, 3 or 25 years old, but like most things, closer to when made is what i would do.
i.e. find a 1940 or 1941 army holster (unless yours is a police, but I think it is an army one??) ed
