I picked this BYF 42 up several years ago for $300. It had a mismatched restamped side plate. From the barrel back it was pretty good with very light pitting, but the matching barrel had some of the worst pitting I have ever seen so I had a Sarco 8 inch barrel and a Artillery rear toggle link installed. I installed a unmarked sideplate. I also had it blued and strawed because I like the look.

Pretty cool looking pistol. Hopefully it won't end up on some gun auction site, many years from now, being listed as "Ultra rare SS reworked byf42 Artillery for use on the Russian Front."
