Apparently, there is a high value luger in my area. How valuable, I am not sure. Perhaps you can tell me. I'm looking for an estimated price range.
Unfortunately, no pictures, but assume the following: * The gun is a standard barrel length German military luger, WWII era. * It is matching including mag and holster, original better than 60% finish * The gun was owned by a soldier in the SS. There is extensive documentation proving so. Rank and unit are currently unknown. Not sure if he was Waffen SS or Allegemeine SS. * This gun is owned by the widow of the soldier, who served in WWII. That's scant info, I know, but any prices estimates would be helpful. |

vickers welcome. You have given us some possible provinance, but nothing about the luger. There were tens of thousands of WW1 lugers used in WW2 and hundreds of thousands made towards and during WW2, so unless you give us condition, pictures, model, condition, markings, it isn't even a wild guess to help you...
Ed BTW; being a "SS" soldier doesn't raise the value to me, its documentation to the soldier might raise the value $50-$100, but not much more.

Ed,
Thanks for the welcome. I'll try and get pictures of the Luger. It's going to be a challenge though. =) If I get the shots you can bet I'll post them. |

Hi,
Could be interesting. If there is enough provenance that allows us to link a relatively standard P08 to an SS-soldier, maby we can put all those 'SS-marked' Waffenfabrik USA versions to rest. |

At a 60% finish it would drop like a lead balloon no matter who owned it. Jerry Burney

Achim, I am sorry, what does this refer to and what does it mean?
