Gents,
After liquidating a few things that go bang, I have invested the prceeds into something that goes bang, bang, bang very fast. Gun is from Stembridge and was in the original King Kong movie according to accompanying documentation. With luck, should have transfer worked out in next 6 weeks or so. Tom A |

Nice coup Tom!
Will you be using a belt or shoulder holster? <grin>

Strictly concealed carry...especially with the 98 round anti-aircraft pan installed.

Wow, and nice tripod too! I've seen a few Lewis guns, but they're usually on a bipod. And the Hollywood provenance is a nice little extra.

I have always thought the Lewis to be the ultimate kluge of technologies in LMGs; now I begin the paper chase. Should be burning lots of '06 ball by June.

Nice, we found...a long story...a similar Lewis gun here in the lost desert area a few years back, before we could "test" fire it. ATF came and got it...wished I had saved the drum mag, I believe it was in '06....

Wow, nice it's in 06 rather than .303. At least it will be MARGINALLY cheaper to feed. Gorgeous gun.
If our paths ever cross I'll let you try my Bren if you give me a crack at your Lewis. You shooting surplus ammo or new? |

Hi George,
Gonna shoot NC MilSurp; plenty around and not too expensive. I figure a couple hundred at a time will be a typical range outing, especially as I will be bringing the MP-40, Lanchester and Reising M55 along also. Tom A |

I guess I'm getting picky - I keep wanting to find 30.06 at less than .20 a round. I dont think I'm going to see that again any time soon. If you dont mind me asking - where's cheapest 30.06 that you have found?
Nice on the other items! Havent tried a Lanchester and I only have a Model 60 Reising. Will be bringing the 1921 Thompson to the range tonite. 20 round mags and one L drum - that gets spendy too. Post some more pics when you get it in! |

Sweet Maxim setup ya got there. Ive only seen the gunners armor one other time, and you have 2 of them. Is that live or a dummy gun?

Nice setup! I see you have a linker in the box too!
Is the MG functional or or display only? And was it originally painted in camouflage? You have quite a collection of trench armor and helmets there that have been beautifully preserved - congrats! |

Richie... is that a Boys A/T rifle I see up there, or is it German? I remember when I was young (a hundred years ago) that they could be had for small money... and many converted them to .50 BMG so they could shoot them... kind of an early poor-mans Barrett! Is your's in the original caliber?

John its the german mauser T geweher in original 13mm. I two as a kid remember too gun shops with these in the windows. Just about impossible to find now at any price. This is the second one I have had. First one I had ( Sure wish I still had it) was one number off the one at the west point museum long gone some 20 years.

Richard that is one impressive collection. I was not aware they used camo patterns on the gun. A really really nice display!!!
